PADI Specialty Training

Nitrox/Enriched Air/EANx/Voodoo Gas

One of the more valuable courses in recreational diving available is the Nitrox/Enriched Air class. Traditionally students had to complete a number of classroom hours followed by two dives using nitrox. These days the class is offered in it's entirety online for your convenience. The two open water dives are available optionally for an additional fee. A traditional course with books is available and usually offered as an addition to your Advanced Open Water.

Nitrox is especially important to Divemaster's who might be leading a dive with students or guests breathing Nitrox. It's also very important to the recreational diver who frequents dive resorts or dive liveaboards. These operations typicaly allow guests to dive up to or beyond five dives a day.

Many will tell you its the end all formula to post-dive fatigue.

Regardless of the reason you would consider taking the course it's invaluable to any diver who wants a greater understanding behind both the physiology involved in nitrogen absorbtion and the recreational dive tables but it allows any diver using it to extend their maximum allowable bottom time. This results in longer time spent underwater!
